What to include for a firm quotation
Commodity prices move every day. Three details let us quote firmly instead of giving you an indicative range:
- Product and specification — the cotton grade (Shankar-6, MCU-5, DCH-32), rice variety (1121, 1509, Pusa) and processing (white, steam, sella), pulse type and count, or feed ingredient, with any quality or testing requirement.
- Volume and packing — quantity in metric tonnes, the bag or bale format, and whether this is a trial order or a recurring requirement.
- Destination and timing — your destination port, the delivery window, and the trade terms you prefer (FOB, CFR or CIF).
Payment and documents
We accept irrevocable letter of credit and wire transfer. Shipments travel with commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate and the relevant test report. Pre-shipment inspection by SGS can be arranged on request.
