Rice, Pulses and Cotton Exporter from India to Saudi Arabia

TGK Agro supplies rice, pulses and cotton to importers and distributors in Saudi Arabia directly from India. We have no office in the Kingdom: your consignment is processed at our facility in Akola, Maharashtra, documented by our own export desk, and shipped from JNPT, Mumbai. Buyers in the west of the country usually take Jeddah Islamic Port on the Red Sea; Riyadh and the Eastern Province are usually served through King Abdulaziz Port, Dammam. The sailing time depends on the port and the service, and we confirm it with the booking.

What Saudi Arabia asks of imported food

Food is regulated by the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA), through SFDA's own electronic systems:

Registration. The Saudi importer registers the company and each food product with SFDA on its Ghad platform before importing.
Clearance. The importer files the clearance request for each shipment on the FASEH platform, and the certificate of conformity for a food shipment is issued through FASEH as well.
Arabic and English label. The label shows the product name, country of origin, ingredients, the producer's name and address, and the production and expiry dates.
Date format. Dates are written day first, then month, then year. The month-first order used in some countries is not accepted.
Shelf life. Agree the remaining shelf life you need on arrival with us before we pack, so the dates printed on the bags suit your market.

SABER is a different system. It belongs to the standards body SASO and covers non-food goods, so it is not where rice and pulses are certified. Cotton bales are not food: they fall outside SFDA and clear as a non-food product, with the phytosanitary and fumigation certificates that plant material needs. Your clearing agent will confirm what is asked for raw cotton. Rules change, so the agent's current checklist always takes priority over this page, which was last checked in September 2026.

Who does what

You, the importer: SFDA registration of your company and products, and the FASEH clearance request for each shipment.
We, the exporter: the product details and specification for your registration, bags printed in Arabic and English with dates in day-month-year order, the export documents below, and pre-shipment inspection by SGS if you ask for it.

What we supply to Saudi Arabia

Basmati rice (1121 and 1509; sella is the usual choice in the Kingdom), non-basmati rice, Kabuli chana by count and dals, and cotton bales in Shankar-6, MCU-5 and DCH-32 for cotton trading houses. Packing and minimum order

Rice and pulses in bags of 10, 25 or 50 kg, plain or printed under your brand; cotton as pressed bales of about 170 kg wrapped in cotton cloth. Minimum order is one 20-foot container unless agreed otherwise. Payment by irrevocable letter of credit or wire transfer, on FOB, CFR or CIF terms.
